Calling all Columbus City Schools band programs! Register to perform on the 2023 CCS JazzFest, and bring your jazz band, combo, or any other jazz-related ensemble! For middle and high school. A full big band instrumentation is not required.
The entire event will be open to the public as well as streamed LIVE on JAG.TV, and made available by Columbus City Schools.
Jazz bands throughout Columbus City Schools have been working hard all year preparing repertoire for the annual Columbus City Schools JazzFest. As their families enjoy a rotation of phenomenal musicians inside the Lincoln Theatre Ballroom, each band will be upstairs in the Jazz Academy warming up and participating in educational masterclasses to hone their skills as a jazz musician. The Jazz Academy Jam Sessions are a community-focused, curated jam session series held the second Tuesday of each month in the Jazz Academy October 2022-May 2023. Jazz musicians of all ages and experience levels are invited to participate in the jam. Each session will have a theme with a list of tunes that will be drawn from.
