Pat Lewis was born in 1955, in 1982 he married his wife, Kathie, and they have two daughters Holly and Heidi.

Pat is a graduate of Hilliard High school. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Music Education from Ohio State in 1979 where he played in the award winning Jazz Ensemble under Tom Battenberg which included members Jim Rupp, Kim Pensyl and John Fedchock.  Pat earned a Master’s Degree in Brass Pedagogy in 1984 also from Ohio State.  He taught at Park Street Middle School and Jackson Middle School in Grove City for 35 years where the Symphonic Band had a record of Superior ratings for over 3 decades and performed at ASBDA and OMEA state conventions.

Pat first performed with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra in January 1978 and became a full time member in 1987.  He has performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Brass Band of Columbus, the Broadway in Columbus series pit orchestra, and in the pit orchestra for many entertainers at the Ohio and Palace Theaters.

Pat continues his love of teaching as a private trombone instructor and OMEA adjudicator.
