PBJ & Jazz at the Topiary Park with Bright Moments Quintet

July 8, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The Bright Moments Quintet is led Dayton-area saxophonist and educator Bill Burns who is joined by a band of first-call Dayton/Cincinnati musicians (Felita LaRock, vocals; Brian Cashwell, piano; Chris Berg, bass; and Jim Leslie, drums). Their 2016 CD release, “Jazz Advice”, is a wonderful resource for children and families to learn about jazz and Ohio history through music, and their live performance will have you grinning and tapping your toes!

PBJ & Jazz at the Topiary Park concerts are free and follow family story time at 11 a.m. in the main branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic and a blanket. The noon concert will conclude with a hands-on art activity, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., presented by the Columbus Museum of Art.

The Topiary Park is located at 480 East Town Street in downtown Columbus. In the event of rain, all activities will be held inside the Columbus Metropolitan Library, adjacent to The Topiary Park, at 96 S. Grant Avenue in downtown Columbus.
