The Columbus Youth Jazz Summer Workshop is back in-person for 2021! Join us for 1-4 weeks of music-making, where we will play jazz together in small, socially-distanced combos. You will have the opportunity to play alongside your peers in a band led by one of our renowned teaching artists. Areas of focus include:

– How to learn a jazz song
– How to improvise
– Technique on your instrument
– Creating an original arrangement

Each week, we will explore new composers, songs, and styles. At the end of each week, we will host a jam session to put our newly learned skills to the test.

During each session, we will be strictly adhering to CDC guidelines for COVID-19 safety, including masks and social distancing. Read more about our COVID procedures HERE.
