The Columbus Community Jazz Band is the chance for anyone who has played an instrument to get back in the swing of things! Led by some of Columbus’ finest musicians, the CCJB performs jazz classics in a fun and engaging environment.

This summer we return to making music together in a traditional big band setting, led by trombonist Jessica Sneeringer, one of Columbus’ most well-regarded musicians and educators and a frequent performer with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra and Famous Jazz Orchestra.

We will meet every Wednesday night from 6-8pm for 5-weeks and end our season with a final public performance on Saturday, August 31 at the Charleen & Charles Hinson Amphitheater as a opener for the Columbus Jazz Orchestra.

Registration: Due to increased interest, we ask that all interested participants, new or returning complete the CCJB Interest Form below by July 17th. We will then fill the ensemble based off of these submissions. This ensemble is open to musicians with fundamental experience on saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano, bass and drum set.

Rehearsal Dates: Wednesdays, July 31st– August 28th

Time: 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Location: The Jazz Academy 769 E Long St., 4th Floor

Final Performance: Saturday, August 31 at 6:45pm at the Charleen & Charles Hinson Amphitheater

Fee: $35
