Join the Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center for their Cultural Connections series! These events are bringing the world to you through “paired presentations” of multicultural music, film, and dance. Build connections in your culture or immerse yourself in new experiences as they offer an expressive mosaic of passionate artists and the arts.
This program entitled All That Jazz, will feature a screening of “A Great Day in Harlem,” a documentary that visits 1958 New York and the moment that 57 of the greatest jazz musicians gathered on a stoop to snap a pic. Learn how the musicians orchestrated this monumental gathering! After the documentary, immerse yourself in live music as Central Ohio jazz icon Bobby Floyd and his trio honor these featured legends with a tribute performance.
