The Jazz Academy Jam Sessions are a community-focused, curated jam session series held the second Tuesday of each month in the Jazz Academy October 2022-May 2023. Jazz musicians of all ages and experience levels are invited to participate in the jam. Each session will have a theme with a list of tunes that will be drawn from. 

Participants will learn the ins and outs of small-group jamming, including tools for band leading and successful improvisation. Led by some of Columbus’ finest musicians, the Jazz Academy Jam Sessions are an inclusive, engaging jam environment for all. We also invite non-musicians to come participate as audience members of the jam. 

COVID 19 Policy: At this time, our COVID-19 protocols, including the use of masks, bell covers, and social distancing have been suspended. We encourage each participant to use their judgment as to the use of these protective measures. We reserve the right to reinstate these protocols in response to community spread of COVID-19.
