Alex Burgoyne and his quartet, featuring Stan Smith, Phil Maneri, and Ryan Folger is a group focused on the freedom of open forms and improvisation. Drawing from influences like Paul Motian and Ornette Coleman, as well as great guitarist composers from the fusion era, Alex and his band express a wide range of musical emotions, from soft and introspective to bombastic and wild.
