Drummer Zach Compston leads an all-star lineup of Columbus jazz favorites, including CJO musicians Pete Mills and Ryan Hamilton, in a performance of Latin Jazz songs that will have you dancing and grooving along! Take a musical journey to Cuba, Brazil, New York City and beyond with the music of Tito Puente, Poncho Sanchez, Horace Silver and other Latin-inspired jazz legends, including fresh arrangements of jazz favorites like you’ve never heard before.
PBJ & Jazz at the Topiary Park concerts are free and follow family story time at 11 a.m. in the main branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic and a blanket. The noon concert will conclude with a hands-on art activity, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., presented by the Columbus Museum of Art.
The Topiary Park is located at 480 East Town Street in downtown Columbus. In the event of rain, all activities will be held inside the Columbus Metropolitan Library, adjacent to The Topiary Park, at 96 S. Grant Avenue in downtown Columbus.
