Show Description:

Byron Stripling, Carmen Bradford and Dave Powers journey through the Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald songbooks. What’s not to love about Byron Stripling playing Louis Armstrong? Combine Byron’s infectious style with Carmen Bradford, who sang in front of the Count Basie Orchestra for nine years, and add in local keyboard wiz Dave Powers, and you’ve got one very special tribute to Armstrong and Fitzgerald.

My friends and I have been subscribers for a good number of years and last night’s performance was one of the best, if not the best ever. All of the shows are great, but last night featured Byron for most of the show and he was just wonderful. When we voted for him several years ago, we knew he was a great talent and he has done so much for the CJO. We are lucky to have him. Dave Powers was wonderful too and it would be great if he could appear more. Carmen was just too cute and a wonderful singer. So all in all it was a great show and I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed it.
