Concert Sponsorships

We welcome the financial support of all sizes of businesses. Opportunities include sponsorships of concerts, guest artists, concert series, recordings, commissions, and world premiere performances. The Swingin’ at the Southern series presents thirty-six concerts each season and the Great American Songbook series offers six, all from the majestic Southern Theatre in downtown Columbus. The newest series, Inside Track, is built to deliver contemporary music to a diverse audience. This series is presented at the newly renovated Lincoln Theatre and has eleven performances available for sponsorship.

Each summer, you can find the Columbus Jazz Orchestra grooving at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium for JazZoo. Sponsorship is available for the series and each of the four concerts. With 2,108 subscribers and over 6,500 single ticket buyers, the Jazz Arts Group can claim the most loyal and well attended of all the performance arts organizations in central Ohio. Leading Columbus-area businesses such as American Electric Power, Huntington Bank, Sequent, Plante Moran, and Bob Evans sponsor our concert series. Benefits include significant media exposure in print, radio and television; social networks updates and blogs; strategically placed signs and posters; email blasts to over 6,000 email addresses; inclusion in our season playbill which is placed in the hands of over 8,000 area residents; courtesy vouchers for your employees; and much more. Placement of your name with our concerts can guarantee tens of thousands of media hits!  Prices for sponsorship range from $5,000 to $25,000.

General Operating Support

For every organization that performs smoothly, there is an inside mechanism that supports and ensures the organization’s success. This inside group includes administration, finance, marketing, development and sales. To help support these functions of the Jazz Arts Group, general operating grants are needed. Grants vary in size and are often acquired through a competitive process at the corporation’s foundation or community philanthropy division. The staff at JAG is very willing to work within your corporate giving structure.

Matching Gifts

Many businesses and corporations provide matching gifts for employees who contribute to the Jazz Arts Group. Donors can double and sometimes triple the amount of their gift by encouraging their employers to participate in this program. JAG acknowledges the following companies for their Matching Gifts Programs: Cardinal Health, The McGraw-Hill Companies, JPMorgan Chase Foundation, Merrill Lynch Matching Gifts Program, AT&T Foundation, The Prudential Foundation, Verizon Foundation and Wolfe Associates, Inc.
