Byron,

We watched you and your talented group this summer at the Columbus Zoo, and had the pleasure of attending the tribute to Ray Charles.

It is such a pleasure to watch you and your group exhibit your endless talents. One of the other great joys is to watch you all doing something that you enjoy.

Congratulations on your ten year anniversary - here is to many more in Columbus. Thank you for all of your work and the great music.

Stay Cool,
Chris Kelly

Hi, Kristy!

Thanks so much for your lovely comments! I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Gahanna, working with all the students and playing with the jazz ensemble. I also enjoyed meeting you and your family and working with Beth, and I hope we can arrange another lesson soon. Congrats on her making the CYJO this fall!

All the best,
Linda

We saw/heard that terrific Friday performance of the banned music show! How gutsy Byron was to lead with "Strange Fruit" and sing Paul Robeson's "Ol' Man River!" I think those two gave weight to the whole show. And Dave Powers' "A Day in the Life" was amazing! I'm so glad we were there to be a part of it.

Innovative! Thought-provoking! Fabulous! Triumphant! Last night's "Don't Listen to This!" concert was amazing. The Jazz Arts Group has risen to a new level. Can't wait for the rest of the series, and the season. Please pass on to Bob and Byron that we loved everything about it.

Best,
Bob and Carolyn Redfield

Thanks for posting this video. I saw the Saturday evening show, and I was blown away. I'm still thinking about it over two weeks later. The program was excellent and left me wanting more. The show was an excellent execution of a wonderful concept and mature design that had a wide appeal. I was inspired.

Just wanted to thank you for the Birth of the Cool concert - what a fabulous show! The whole concept of the slide show, Denny Griffith and Bob giving some of the history around the groundbreaking change to jazz that started in that period, and even the period furniture – it was all terrific. And the music was fantastic! Please pass on to Bob and the whole team that it was a wonderful experience and a great introduction to the expanded Inside Track series next season. Can’t wait for them to start!

Bob
