24 May 2012 No Comment

CJO at Columbus Commons

Located in the heart of Downtown, Columbus Commons is a vibrant 9-acre green space that is actively programmed from May through September with concerts, family events, movies, performances and more. The Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion is the signature capital project for the city’s 200th birthday and is the crowning glory of Columbus Commons. The state-of-the-art pavilion will officially be unveiled at the May 24th Grand Opening, featuring a FREE concert with Grammy Award-winning performer Michael McDonald (The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan). The renowned Columbus Jazz Orchestra led by Artistic Director Byron Stripling will kick off the festivities with a 7:00 p.m. performance sponsored by State Auto. This is one of more than 70 events that will take place on the Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion this year.

Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Come early to get a great place to view the concert. The evening will culminate with fireworks presented by Pepsi.
