
Linda Landis, Trombone
Linda Landis has the distinction of being the new lead trombonist and first female member of the Columbus Jazz Orchestra. A graduate of Morehead State University with a bachelor's degree in music education, Linda has played professionally and taught for over 20 years. She is Artist in Residence at Lehman Catholic High School, is the brass instructor at Hadley E. Watts Middle School and has also performed with the Dayton Jazz Orchestra, Famous Jazz Orchestra and New Remnants Orchestra.
Linda has performed with today’s top entertainers including Maureen McGovern, Sheena Easton, Manhattan Transfer, Diane Shuur, Nelson Rangell, Clark Terry, and Dianne Reeves. Her recording credits include the Dayton Jazz Orchestra, New Remnants Dance Orchestra, and the Famous Jazz Orchestra.
