Gene Walker is a world-class jazz saxophonist, composer, bandleader recording studio musician and educator. Since 1956 Gene has toured with The Beatles, King Curtis, Sam Cook, Jackie Wilson, Jimmy McGriff, The Drifters and The Platters.

He has played with many notable musicians and entertainers including Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, Shep and the Limelights, Jimmy Reed, The Isley Brothers, Brenda Lee, and Neil Diamond.

Around Columbus, Gene can be found leading his own jazz group, Gene Walkers Generations which plays traditional and contemporary jazz. This musical ensemble prides itself on its versatility and ability to satisfy audiences of all age groups.

If you’re looking for an evening of romance and dancing then you don’t want to miss Gene’s 8-piece group called the Cotton Club Orchestra. Highlighting the orchestra is a full horn section and a stylish female vocalist.
